Preserving Our Wilderness Legacy
Balule Nature Reserve has the perennial Olifants River flowing through its 42,000 hectares of pristine bushveld, and is home to a rich diversity of fauna and flora, including the Big 5. Balule is located on the northwestern boundary of the Greater Kruger National Park’s unfenced Open System and is part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area, forming a protected area in excess of 3 million hectares. The Reserve is made up of a number of private reserves, which are regional members of the Balule Nature Reserve Association.
